We are delighted to announce an immersive two-day Gurukulavasam Program, crafted especially for children aged 10-13, offering a unique chance to experience the richness of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in a gurukulam set up. Scheduled for December 28-29, 2024, at the serene Anaadi Foundation campus in Palani, Tamil Nadu, this camp will expose participants to a variety of IKS, including Sanskrit, Ayurveda, Bharatiya Ganita (Indian Mathematics), and Nakshatra Vidya (Indian Astronomy). The Gurukulavasam Program is designed not just to impart knowledge, but also to instill values, discipline, and a connection to nature, fostering a holistic learning environment. Alongside academic sessions, participants will engage in diverse activities such as trekking, yoga, and nature walks, immersing themselves in the natural beauty of the landscape and the simplicity of gurukulam life. This will give a first hand experience on Gurukulam way of living, and those seeking can gurukulam admission are welcome to participate in the program to take forward the admission process. Schedule: 5:00 AM - Wake-Up 6:00 AM - Guru Puja & Go Seva: A morning offering and service to the cows, symbolizing respect for Gurus and reverence for all living beings. 7:00 AM - Yoga Session: Energizing yoga practice to prepare the body and mind for the day ahead. 8:00 AM - Breakfast (Kanji): Simple and nutritious traditional breakfast. 9:00 AM - Morning Session: In-depth exploration of topics in Indian Knowledge Systems. 9:45 AM - Break 10:00 AM - Second Morning Session: Continuation of learning with engaging stories and practical insights. 11:00 AM - Lunch: 12:30 PM - Afternoon Session: Hands-on learning and immersive discussions on selected topics. 2:00 PM - Yoga Nidra: A guided relaxation session to rejuvenate the body and mind. 3:00 PM - Snack Break 3:30 PM - Outdoor Activities & Hands-on Learning: From nature walks to interactive sustainability activities. 5:00 PM - Khel (Games): Enjoy traditional Indian games that foster team spirit and physical fitness. 6:15 PM - Evening Bhajan, Guru Puja & Agni Kriya: Engage in devotional singing, evening offerings, and fire-based rituals. 7:30 PM - Dinner: A wholesome end to the day with a simple, nourishing meal.
