NEP-NCF Aligned Pre-school Curriculum
Blending Curricular content with Indian Knowledge Systems
Holistic preschool education is important because it focuses on the whole child, including their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. This approach recognizes that children learn best through hands-on, experiential activities and encourages creativity, independence, and critical thinking. A holistic preschool education also helps to promote a child's self-esteem, self-confidence and self-awareness, which are essential for success in school and in life.
Preschool education is important for several reasons. It lays the foundation for a child's future success by helping children to develop important social and emotional skills, such as communication, cooperation, and problem-solving together with critical numeracy skills, literacy skills and values. It also helps children to become more independent, self-confident, and self-sufficient.
For many a millenia, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) have played a foundational role in the society by not only advancing the civilisation’s collective knowledge but also by kindling the wisdom to lead lives towards attaining fulfilment through puruṣārthas.
The Sadvidya curricular framework aligned with NCF-NEP for preschool education aims to draw from the rich wisdom of India’s way of life and knowledge traditions to inspire a global movement in education that blends:
~ Indian philosophies at the heart of the framework that inform the principles of life and education
~ Unique pedagogical approaches that bring about wholesome and context-appropriate development
~ Content that ensures that child development happens at multiple dimensions
